One morning, in a romantic mist, at about 8 15, I scampered up to a Rook to enquire why he was on our lawn. Well ... I had never seen a bird that big that close up before ... and when the Rook flapped his wings and took to the air ... well, I fainted. Needless to say I was very, very relieved to see the Master when I came round. I mean, I might have woke up in some bird's nest as someone else's supper!
