In one of the ads, created by agency Radioville, Baker says he has double download capacity. Blessed tells him he has his priorities wrong.
In another, Blessed says he has "boosted myself with download capacity" to which Baker replies: "You flash Harry!"
The campaign, called "My TalkTalk", also stars Amy Shields as the voice of TalkTalk, and airs nationally in the UK from January 2. The ads were written by Radioville's Richard Johnston and Cindy George,
directed by Ian Mactavish and produced by Sean Carnegie. The creative director was Tim Craig. The media buyer is MindShare. Baker was previously the voice of BT's talking text messaging service. He was replaced in 2006.

The campaign compares and contrasts the ways that customers can pick and choose different aspects of TalkTalk, and pay accordingly. And the message is brought to life marvellously by two men who have spent much of their careers making technical language sound natural, human and emotionally resonant. Especially since that before the session, they'd never met before.
In the campaign, they compare their TalkTalk choices with the other, each convinced of the superiority of their own decision. And the news of this first meeting of vocal chords was eagerly snapped up by Radio Today, Media Guardian (where you can hear one of the ads in question) and Doctor Who fan sites.
Of course, Tom Baker was my Doctor, Brian Blessed was Price Vultan Of The Hawk-Men, and the eight year old inside me was screaming with glee. Naturally I put on a professional, dispassionate façade, making notes about different takes, offering suggestions, but generally enjoying the performances and making sure not to ask "So Tom, how long did the Old Doctor Who makeup take to put on in "The Leisure Hive" and how much did that episode influenced "The Matrix" movie series do you think?"
No, I’m above that kind of thing. Honest.
